Denise Mulligan

Denise is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years experience of working at senior management level, and a proven record of strategic development in public and voluntary sectors.

Early in her career Denise worked in engineering as a senior sales manager, before moving into healthcare, holding senior management posts in both the National Health, Service and voluntary healthcare sectors.

In 1989 Denise was seconded from industry to work part time as an Associate Tutor for the Leadership Trust, tutoring on both their open and customised leadership programmes.

During the past twenty years Denise has gained a greater awareness of the impact of leadership. The key to effective leadership she believes is personal congruence, developing a consistent leadership style that is right for each individual and the context they are in.  This leadership tutoring experience underpins her creative, intuitive coaching style.

In 2008 Denise moved into personal and professional development fulltime, and now divides her time between tutoring and coaching for The Leadership Trust as well as her own coaching clients.

Recent coaching assignments have been at director and senior management level in industry and healthcare, with clients based in the UK, Sweden, and Lithuania.

As well as personal development and executive coaching, Denise also tutors for Sussex University, supporting students on a community learning project, focusing on areas of community capacity building and leadership.

Denise holds Diplomas in both Personal Performance and Corporate and Executive Coaching from The Coaching Academy and is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

Other academic achievements include a BSC (Hons) from Brighton University with postgraduate study in Leadership, Managing Change, Service Planning and Delivery at Brighton Business School.

Denise has core values of loyalty, openness and trust and uses these to ensure each client has the best coaching and learning experience possible.
