Kate has nearly fifteen years experience as a consultant, with Accenture and then Corven Consulting, working in a variety of sectors including: public sector, retail, telecoms and utilities.

Kate has particular expertise in working with clients to help them clarify their direction and develop interventions at an individual, team and organisational level that enable change to happen. This expertise is strengthened by her business consulting, group facilitation and coaching skills where she draws upon psychodynamic, Gestalt psychology and systems thinking.

Highly motivated, Kate is also an innovative executive with strong interpersonal skills and a real passion for understanding and influencing people at the deepest level to realise their potential.
Kate has designed, developed and delivered business focused leadership development programmes, worked closely with senior executive teams to facilitate them through their business challenges and supported clients in engaging their people in organisational change.

Recently Kate has worked in Central Government, specifically supporting a senior leadership team to engage with a wider organisation Performance Improvement Programme, its principles, philosophy and way of operating and leading. Kate facilitated the leadership team through sessions on their role, actions they needed to take, governance and the individual and team behaviours required to excel as they drive performance.

Kate holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology at St Andrews University and a Masters in Management Learning and Leadership (MAMLL) at Lancaster University. There she focused on the subjects of social and political dynamics in groups, experiential approaches to learning and the transition to motherhood and returning to work after maternity leave.

Kate became an accredited coach with the Institute of Human Development (IHD) in 2003. Since then she has mainly coached individuals who are leading others through an organisational change and/or are transitioning into a new role and has conducted the coaching as a part of a wider organisation development/change initiative. She focuses on helping individuals to further their personal and professional growth and her passion lies in finding ways of fostering that at the individual and organisational level.
