Robin Lawrence
Robin is passionate about leadership within personal development. He has a diploma in coaching and is an accredited executive coach with The Leadership Trust and was selected to become a tutor on their Leadership programmes. He is also one of the few John Adair Accredited Trainers for Action Centred Leadership. John Adair was the world’s first Professor of Leadership and in 2009, was appointed Chair of Leadership Studies United Nations System Staff College in Turin.
Robin is now Managing Director and founder of Matrix7 Limited, a company he set up in 2003 to provide high-impact personal development services to professionals. Excelsior Development is one of those programmes which is aimed at helping professionals in the private sector become even more effective. Robin also conducts training sessions, facilitates meetings and performs public speaking roles.
Robin has 20+ years experience working in the corporate world. This helped develop his business, management and leadership skills, and has seen him build high-performing teams, run successful projects and work closely with multi-national companies as well as many UK small and medium enterprises.
His time on the Board of the London Borough of Waltham Forest’s Housing organisation, Ascham Homes, as a non-executive Director, means Robin has experience at all levels within organisations which spans both private and public sectors.
Robin has worked closely with a number of clients which include high profile charity organisations, company Directors and Executives in medical, telecommunications, education, sports and financial sectors, management consultants, teachers and sportsmen. Robin has also coached year 10 & 11 students in a state secondary school in Essex through Hanover Foundations where he was a lead coach.
During the last four years Robin has also worked extensively with teachers and this has led to the creation of a personal development programme specifically designed for teachers at all levels. Robin understands the pressures, the issues and the politics of organisational life. He specialises in leadership, team development and communications. Robin lives in Loughton, Essex.
His interests are many and varied and include badminton, golf, photography, and human behaviour.
